H2E Teleconference Sponsorships
Reach a Highly Targeted Audience of Health Care Professionals Working on Environmental Issues
Support H2E Teleconferences
Practice Greenhealth hosts 24 teleconferences each year on topics covering a full range of environmental initiatives within the health care sector. This is our way of bringing experts and success stories directly to the workplace. Speakers present through a conference call format and the presentation can be downloaded from the H2E website. H2E teleconferences have been a huge success, and sponsorship will reach a wide breadth of those working in the health care field on environmental initiatives.
H2E participants include staff from over 5,000 healthcare facilities across the US, healthcare environmental consultants, vendors and other service providers, technical staff from government programs, and representatives of state healthcare associations, to name a few. Depending on the conference topic, participants may include Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Services, Housekeeping, Purchasing/Materials Management, Nursing and other clinical staff, Facilities Management, Infection Control, Central Services, and Administration.

The Three Types of Teleconferences
H2E Environmental Program Series
The second Friday of each month, H2E’s Environmental Program Series focuses on a broad range of environmental and operational issues. A typical H2E teleconference attracts between 100 and 400 sites with multiple participants at each site. Topics this year include:
- Universal Waste Management
- Toxicity Reduction In Laboratories
The Green Building Series

The Green Building Series promotes green design, construction, and integrated operations of health care facilities with an emphasis on the Green Guide for Health Care, a self-certifying toolkit designed to steer facilities through the process.
“Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) uses the H2E teleconferences as a “brown bag” forum in Boise and invites local hospitals, health care professionals, and vendors to participate. The diversity and relevance of the teleconference topics and the quality of the presentations attract a steady audience. Not only is this a great way to disseminate the excellent information provided via the teleconferences, but this has also provided a successful networking forum in the area.”
Liisa Itkonen, Sr. Environmental Projects/H2E Coordinator
Department of Environmental Quality
The health care sector is in the midst of a building boom, and health care organizations are making a significant shift from conventional building to more environmentally sound design and construction.
The Green Building Series’ audience includes members of the design and construction team—facility managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and others. A typical session attracts up to 400 sites. Topics this year include:
- Energy Conservation Strategies
- Making the Business Case for Green Health Care
- Introduction to the Green Guide for Health Care
- Water Conservation Strategies
Core Programs Training Series
The Core Programs Training Series is a monthly call focused on H2E programs and resources. A typical training series tends to be small and more interactive with approximately 12-30 sites. Topics include:
- Introduction to H2E and Data Collection—a guide to the tools and resources available through the H2E program for new Partners, held the third Friday of each month.
- Making Medicine Mercury-Free—a discussion of H2E’s mercury elimination programs, held the fourth Friday of every other month.
Benefits of Sponsorship
“H2E’s teleconferences bring success stories and lessons learned from the field without leaving our offices. It’s a great source of information for those on the ground, doing this work.
Mark Blaire, Environmental Programs Director
Hackensack University Medical Center
Your logo will appear at the top of the teleconference page with a direct link to your website. At the start of the call, the sponsoring organization will be announced and their web link is given with one or two sentences to describe the mission or core values of the organization. At the end of the call, the the sponsor’s website information is repeated and the sponsor will be thanked again for their support.
