Support H2E

In February 2006, H2E transitioned from a program primarily funded by the US EPA and our other sponsors to an independent not-for-profit organization. As we continue to provide pollution prevention assistance to the health care field, we have developed a business plan to become a financially self-sustaining organization. H2E is committed to maintaining and expanding its services to continue to provide a national network and clearinghouse for tools and resources to green the entire healthcare sector!

Consistent with our mission to minimize barriers for any facility to participate in environmental performance improvement but also to create financially viable programs, we now seek charitable donations, sponsorships, and are launching new initiatives to provide specific services while supporting H2E’s broader efforts.

The Healthy Future Fund is a tax-deductible charitable fund that will provide H2E with financial strength that will support the growth of educational programs and collaborative approaches to achieving environmental goals. Contributors truly support the mission of H2E and greening health care.

H2E Teleconference Sponsorships allow H2E to continue to provide 26 teleconferences each year on a wide variety of topics. Sharing information in this low-key educational setting is a hallmark of H2E’s program and provides sponsors with the opportunity to demonstrate their support for the greening of the health care industry and for this great program.

H2E Award and Recognition Program Sponsorships allow H2E to provide the preeminent environmental awards program for the healthcare sector. Getting an award rocks, and sponsoring the program makes it happen. If you are interested please contact Laura Brannen.

H2E’s new green Products and Services Directory enables businesses to not only promote environmentally preferable products and services for health care but also financially supports H2E’s program.

Teleconference Subscriptions provides the more resource-intensive services through 24 teleconferences annually with expert guest presenters on topics covering everything from green building to pharmaceutical waste to red bag waste reduction.

With all the talk of money, let’s be clear about one thing—while surviving and thriving is behind all this effort, H2E is committed to staying true to our mission of providing education, tools, and information about best environmental practices to help health care professionals make environmental change in the world. We feel strongly about minimizing barriers to participation, and have tried to simplify the participation process and keep most of our core programs free of charge. Other offerings will be provided at rates that cover H2E’s costs and that should be manageable for even low-budget operations.
