What You Need to Know to Apply
Organization must be a member of Practice Greenhealth to apply for an award.
Applications are due no later than February 29, 2008. Applications received after this date will not be considered in the 2008 season.
Applicants must be in compliance with all pertinent EPA regulations. Take the time to make sure that your organization is clear. Visit Understanding Your Compliance History for tips.
Limit supporting documentation to 15 pages. More is not necessarily better. If you do need to exceed this limit, please contact Lin Hill, Awards Coordinator to discuss.

Submit electronic applications only. Please email your application and supporting documents to awards@h2e-online.org.
What to submit Completed application form and any supporting documents. Please give each file a name to identify what the document is.

Applications
Partner Recognition – rewards facilities that have begun to work on environmental improvements and achieved some progress.
Making Medicine Mercury-Free Award – recognizes facilities that have virtually eliminated mercury from their facilities and have made a commitment to continue to be “mercury free.” You can apply for this award at any time.

Partner for Change Award – recognizes facilities that continuously improve and expand upon their mercury elimination, waste reduction, and pollution prevention programs. At a minimum, facilities applying for this award should be recycling 10% of their solid waste, have begun mercury elimination programs with a plan in place for total elimination, and have developed other successful pollution prevention programs.
Champion for Change Award – recognizes organizations and agencies supplying products and services to healthcare facilities that demonstrate successful accomplishments in ‘greening’ their own organization and have assisted their associated healthcare facility clients/members/customers in improving their environmental performance.
System for Change Award – recognizes health systems that are working cohesively to gather data, set system goals, benchmark, and share successes in environmental performance. A minimum of 20% of system facilities must also apply for a Partner for Change award in order for the system to receive this award.
Environmental Leadership Circle Annual Report – for previous inductees only. This annual report is required of all members of the Environmental Leadership Circle to give us an update on the continuing progress that has been made in the last year.
